Aberdeen Business Online
These terms apply to services purchased for business purposes. They form part of your agreement when provided and accepted before work begins. Specifically agreed written terms take priority. Later changes to this page do not alter an existing agreement without your agreement.
Your proposal confirms the services, deliverables, price, payment arrangements and recurring charges. Advertised starting prices depend on the agreed scope. Additional pages, functionality, substantial revisions and services outside that scope are quoted and agreed before proceeding.
Payments are due on the dates agreed in your proposal or invoice. If you cancel a project, charges reflect work reasonably completed and unavoidable third-party costs already committed, without double charging. Any unused prepaid balance is refunded. This does not remove your remedies if ABO fails to deliver the agreed service.
You must have permission to use supplied photographs, logos, text and other materials. You are responsible for checking your business details, prices, claims and policies before approving publication. Missing information, delayed approval or changes to requirements may affect delivery dates. Approval does not remove ABO’s responsibility for faults in its work.
After full payment, you have an ongoing right to use the completed website for your business. On request, ABO will provide one standard export of the published website files for that use, without an additional release fee.
This does not include the editable Nicepage project, development tools, shared account access or reusable ABO software source code. Copyright in ABO-created material remains with ABO unless expressly transferred in writing. Third-party components remain subject to their licences. Features dependent on separately hosted software are covered by the software agreement.
Domains arranged for your business are managed by ABO on your behalf. ABO will reasonably cooperate with an authorised transfer, subject to registrar requirements. This does not provide access to ABO’s registrar account.
Email supplied through ABO is a managed service. Website or domain transfer does not automatically transfer mailboxes, historic messages or email access.
Your new provider is responsible for replacement hosting, DNS, email configuration and migration unless ABO separately agrees to undertake that work. Any requested migration assistance is quoted in advance. An end date for existing services must be confirmed in writing, allowing reasonable time to arrange transfer or export of required data.
First-year services are included where stated. Your proposal defines ongoing hosting, email, maintenance, backups, support and small content updates. New functionality, redesigns and substantive document rewriting are separate work. Renewal prices and any changes are notified before renewal. Services end at the agreed expiry or termination date; leaving does not automatically create a refund of a paid service period, except where required by law or otherwise agreed.
ABO software is licensed for the agreed service period. Purchase of setup or access does not transfer ownership of the software or its source code. On termination, customer business records held in the system can be supplied in an available standard export format, subject to identity checks and data-protection obligations. Custom conversions or installation elsewhere are separately quoted. Export and retention arrangements are confirmed before service closure.
ABO provides services with reasonable care and skill. Search rankings, enquiry volumes, sales, uninterrupted availability and delivery of every email are not guaranteed. Third-party platforms may change or experience faults. ABO will investigate issues affecting the agreed managed service and take reasonable action.
Keep account access secure and business records accurate. Documentation is prepared around the information and arrangements you approve; it does not replace independent legal advice or guarantee regulatory approval. You remain responsible for following your policies and professional obligations. ABO remains responsible for its own contractual and data-protection obligations.
Report problems promptly so they can be investigated and a resolution discussed. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
