ABO Driving Instructor Edition
Connect your pupil enquiries, registration, lesson records and learning progress. Give pupils a professional experience while keeping the information you need organised.
Your branding and workflow. Setup and ongoing costs confirmed in your quote. Document Centre is a separate option.
The pupil journey begins
Jamie finds your website and enquires about lessons. Follow what happens for the pupil and for you.
PUPIL VIEW
Jamie receives an automatic confirmation using your school’s branding. It acknowledges the enquiry and explains that you will review the details. A lesson space has not yet been offered.
INSTRUCTOR VIEW
The details arrive by email and appear in your dashboard. Jamie wants manual lessons in Garthdee and is available on Tuesday afternoons. Try a response below.
Choose a response to explore the outcome. You can try all three.
A pupil may suit your area and teaching arrangements even when you have no space. Smart Match retains that enquiry so you can consider suitable pupils when a lesson slot opens. It helps you work from existing interest instead of starting the search again.
PUPIL VIEW
After you accept the enquiry, Jamie receives a further branded email containing the registration link. The pupil can complete the required details through the agreed registration process.
The separately scoped Document Centre package can guide Jamie through your instructor documents, acknowledgements and relevant consents, with completion records available to you.
INSTRUCTOR VIEW
Registration complete. Jamie’s record appears in your pupil dashboard, with the new registration highlighted in the What’s New section.
The enquiry has become a pupil record. Next comes managing lesson credits, signed lesson records and learning progress.
Illustrative journey using fictional details. No enquiry is submitted, pupil created or email sent.
Managing everyday lessons
Jamie is ready to begin lessons. Try adding a block of hours, marking payment received and recording a lesson with pupil sign-off.
Jamie chooses a 10-hour block at an illustrative price of £400.
Example receipt DEMO-1001
Pupil: Jamie Taylor
Description: 10-hour lesson block
Amount marked received: £400
Payment is recorded separately from lesson credit. Marking it received does not collect money.
This example lesson lasts 1½ hours. Once recorded with pupil sign-off, those hours are deducted from the balance.
Keep practical reminders here. Teaching notes and plans for the next lesson are recorded in Lesson Progress.
Add lesson credit and tick the example confirmation to enable this action.
Jamie Taylor. Lesson duration: 1½ hours. Remaining lesson credit: 8½ hours.

Demonstration only. Prices are illustrative. No payment is taken, real signature captured or pupil record saved.
Lesson Progress
Record what was covered, update learning progress and plan the next lesson. Give pupils a clear view of their development.
INSTRUCTOR VIEW
Your full system covers 27 learning points. This shortened example shows three skills with illustrative progress levels.
PUPIL VIEW
A clear progress view helps pupils understand what is improving and what still needs practice. Progress can also be shared with a parent through the agreed sharing process.
In this example, the parent would see the pupil progress summary shown above. Practical instructor reminders from the lesson register are separate. No link or message has been sent.
Demonstration only. The sample skills and progress levels illustrate the workflow. Nothing is saved or shared outside this page.
From first enquiry to test pass
Fast forward to Jamie passing the driving test. The lesson records and progress built along the way give that achievement a history.
NORTHSIDE DRIVING SCHOOL
Celebrating your achievement
You have passed your driving test.
From your first lesson to becoming an independent driver.
Fictional pupil and illustrative completion summary.
Jamie’s example now represents 22 lessons and 33 hours of tuition. The pupil record brings together the learning journey rather than leaving it scattered across messages and separate notes.
Recorded lessons, their duration and pupil sign-off.
The skills developed, teaching notes and progression through tuition.
Lesson blocks, hours used and payments marked as received.
One connected journey. Your website introduces the school. The enquiry system gathers the details. Your dashboard supports the pupil relationship through registration, lessons, progress and the final achievement.
Your instructor setup
We can discuss the parts that would help your school most and agree a suitable setup. You do not need to adopt every part of the workflow at once.
The demonstrations show how the tools can connect. Your quote confirms the functions included in your version.
You can decline an enquiry with a polite response or retain a suitable pupil enquiry in Smart Match.
When a space becomes available, you can consider existing enquiries against the area and availability required. Keeping an enquiry does not promise the pupil a place.
The demonstrated register records lesson credit and payments you mark as received. Recording a payment does not move money or charge the pupil.
Your actual payment arrangements remain part of how you run your school. Any additional payment integration would need its own agreed scope.
The lesson register handles credits, payments, receipts, signed lesson records and practical instructor notes.
Lesson Progress records the teaching, development against learning points, lesson notes and plans for future lessons. It provides the progress view you can share through the agreed process.
Document Centre is a separate option. It combines your instructor documentation package with the pupil process for reading, acknowledgements and relevant consents.
It can be discussed alongside the instructor edition and included within a combined quote.
Explore Document CentreYes. We can discuss your business identity, domain, professional email, website and instructor tools as one coordinated setup.
If you already have some of these in place, we review what is needed and agree the work before proceeding.
Pricing depends on the tools selected, the configuration required and whether you also need a website or other services.
Your quote explains the initial setup and ongoing charges. Where several services fit together, we can discuss a combined price.
